Shows allocated study time—not measured learning, grades or exam readiness. Breaks are excluded.

03 / PRIORITY & DEADLINES

What needs attention

Open a session to update its deadline, priority and completion.

04 / WEEKLY TARGET

Keep your target realistic

0 hours planned against a 15-hour target
WHY THIS TEMPLATE PAGE IS DIFFERENT

A study plan should explain what you will do—not just when you will sit down.

Each session can record a subject, a precise target, a learning method, priority, due date, notes and completion status. Use the week view to reserve time; use the panels to understand your commitments.

01↔

Editable time blocks

Move study sessions across the current week, adjust their length in 15-minute increments, or open the editor for exact changes on touch screens.

02◎

Retrieval & spaced reviews

Mark a block as active recall, practice or focused reading. Generate three optional follow-up review sessions after the selected lesson.

03◈

Deadlines and priorities

Keep due dates attached to the actual work sessions, distinguish high-impact tasks and mark completed work without removing it.

04▥

Portable schedules

Print your plan, share a CSV, import an ICS calendar into a compatible calendar app or restore a complete JSON backup later.

THE COMPLETE STUDY PLANNER USER GUIDE

How to build a study week that is clear, achievable and adjustable

The templates are examples, not algorithms that know your course requirements. Always enter your real class hours, examination dates and assessment deadlines. Use these instructions to turn a starting layout into a planner you can follow.

01 / STARTING POINT

Choose a template for your main study problem

Select Balanced Study Week when several subjects need regular attention. Choose Exam Revision for retrieval practice and past-paper work, Assignment Sprint for a staged coursework deliverable, Evening Study when daytime hours are unavailable, or Focus & Breaks for shorter repeated intervals. The sample dates and times are illustrative. Review them before treating the plan as your own.

Template selection changes only the currently displayed Monday–Sunday week. Existing study sessions saved on other dates remain in the planner. Use JSON Backup first if you want to preserve your work outside the browser.

02 / EDIT YOUR SESSIONS

Fill open hours, change tasks and reschedule visually

Click any empty area of a day timeline to add a session at approximately that time. Choose the subject, specific goal, activity type, learning method, time, priority and optional deadline. Select an existing block to edit it; use Duplicate for a separate copy or Delete to remove it. On desktop, drag a block left or right to another time, or vertically onto another day. Drag the small handle on its right edge to change duration. Edits snap to 15-minute intervals. On mobile, the exact time fields provide an alternative to dragging.

Use the week arrows to inspect other dates. Copy week duplicates the visible week into the following week without silently deleting existing work. It asks before replacing target-week entries.

03 / MAKE EACH SESSION MEASURABLE

Set a target more useful than “study biology”

A strong study block has a finish line: “answer 15 genetics questions,” “retrieve five concepts without notes,” “outline two essay sections,” or “correct mistakes from a mock test.” Keep the Subject field stable across sessions so the subject-balance report can aggregate useful totals. Put the exact chapter, assessment or deliverable in the title and target fields.

Use High priority for work that would have meaningful consequences if postponed. Setting every block to High prevents the deadline panel from helping you decide what to tackle next.

04 / SPACING AND RETRIEVAL

Build opportunities to remember, not only reread

After learning new material, a later attempt to recall it without looking at notes can reveal what needs more practice. The editor includes an optional Generate +1 / +3 / +7-day reviews button. It produces three separate, editable review appointments after a selected session, using open half-hour windows where possible. These dates are convenient suggestions rather than an evidence-based universal interval prescription.

Interleave appropriate topics, practice applying concepts, and check your answers. The planner records time and completion but cannot determine whether a topic is actually mastered.

05 / DEADLINES & WORKLOAD

Reserve time before work becomes urgent

Enter the real due date on an assignment or revision block. The priority panel lists upcoming due dates and high-priority unfinished sessions. Split a substantial project into research, outlining, drafting, feedback and submission preparation instead of representing it as one enormous block on the deadline date. Build spare capacity for interruptions, errors and work that takes longer than planned.

The weekly target shows planned focus, practice, assignment and recall hours; break blocks are excluded. Study blocks can overlap accidentally. The overlap metric highlights those conflicts, and the editor lets you resolve them.

06 / COMPLETION & REVIEW

Review what was scheduled against what happened

Mark an activity Done using the small completion control on its block or the edit form. The completion percentage is based on marked sessions in the displayed week; it is not a prediction of your exam score. If your day changes, move the unfinished work instead of pretending it was completed. At the end of each week, compare your subject allocation against the assignments and exams that remain.

Consider reducing the coming week's plan if repeated carryovers show it is too ambitious. Rest and sleep should be treated as genuine constraints—not empty hours to fill automatically.

07 / SAVE, BACKUP & EXPORT

Know where your timetable is stored

The planner automatically attempts to save your edited state in this browser. Browser storage can be cleared or unavailable in restricted modes, so download a JSON backup before deleting browser data or replacing the tool. CSV contains study-session rows; ICS provides dated calendar events; Print/PDF uses the browser's print system. Export times reflect your device's current local time zone; check them after importing elsewhere.

If signed into ScheduleFlowLab, the optional cloud action saves a new copy to My Schedules. It does not create automatic two-way synchronization or real-time collaboration. Use Load cloud copy only when you intend to replace your current local study state.

08 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Fix common editing or calendar problems

If the schedule looks empty, confirm the visible week and whether a blank template was selected. If sessions appear out of view, change the time-range selector to Full 24 hours. If blocks feel difficult to drag on touch devices, open their editor and type exact times. A time clash means two sessions overlap for one learner; different categories do not make the conflict disappear.

If cloud saving says sign-in is required, use the website's global account header and try again. If a print view clips the grid, use landscape orientation or the browser's scale setting. For major schedule changes, export a JSON backup first.

STUDY PLANNER QUESTIONS

Detailed answers before you publish or print your plan

What is a study planner template?

A study planner template is an editable example for organizing revision, practice questions, assignment stages and breaks. It provides a useful starting structure, but subject names, deadlines, learning methods and time requirements should all be adjusted to the learner's actual course.

How is this different from a Study Schedule Maker?

This page offers five ready-made weekly study strategies with progress and deadline tracking. A dedicated Study Schedule Maker may focus on constructing a personalized dated revision roadmap. The purpose here is to choose and customize a complete practical template.

Can I drag study blocks to a different day?

Yes. Drag a session onto a different weekday row or move it horizontally to another time in the week view. Sessions update in 15-minute increments. Exact day and time can also be changed using the editor.

Can I add sessions into an empty time slot?

Yes. Click an empty part of a visible day row, confirm the suggested time, and enter your subject and goal. Choose Full 24 hours if your preferred starting time is outside the normal 06:00–24:00 view.

What study approaches do these examples include?

The example templates include active retrieval, practice questions, assignment work, focused reading and short reset blocks. A method label is simply a planning reminder; the tool does not measure how effectively the method was performed.

Can it add spaced repetition sessions?

Yes. While editing a saved session, Generate reviews creates optional follow-up blocks one, three and seven days later. You can move, change or delete every generated block. These intervals are adjustable examples, not guaranteed optimal spacing for every subject.

Can I plan an assignment due next week?

Yes. Add the assignment block in the week you intend to work on it and set its actual deadline. The session remains attached to its scheduled date, while the deadline field can reference another date.

Does the planner show clashes and free time?

It counts overlapping scheduled study sessions in the selected week and displays the open spaces in the timeline. It does not automatically import your school timetable, so add fixed commitments manually if you need those time constraints represented.

How is completion calculated?

The completion percentage divides the number of marked-complete sessions by the number of displayed sessions. It represents checklist progress only; it is not a grade, confidence score, productivity rating or mastery measurement.

Will a template replace my existing study plan?

Choosing a different sample asks before replacing activities for the currently displayed week. Weeks outside the selected range are retained. Undo can recover a recent change, but a downloaded JSON backup is the most portable way to preserve your planner.

Can I save without an account?

Yes. Local autosave is attempted on the current device. Cloud saving is optional and requires a signed-in ScheduleFlowLab account. Guests should keep JSON backups if they need to move or preserve work between browsers.

Can I export a printable study plan?

Yes. Print or Save as PDF uses the browser's print dialog. CSV lists each scheduled study session, ICS provides calendar events, and JSON can restore the full planner, including completion, priority and deadline details.
