COMPLETE STUDY SCHEDULE MAKER USER GUIDE

From exam dates to a practical revision roadmap

Use the planner as a decision-making tool: record what must be learned, decide when to practice it and update the schedule when real life changes. The following instructions reflect controls in this tool.

01◎STARTING STRATEGY

Choose the right starting study plan

Exam Countdown emphasizes upcoming tests and cumulative retrieval; Balanced Revision rotates subjects across manageable sessions; Assignment Sprint places research, drafting, feedback and submission work on dated blocks. Choose Blank Plan when you want an empty roadmap. Loading a different starting plan requires confirmation because it replaces the current local sessions and goals. Your saved work should be backed up first.

02◷REAL-DATE SESSIONS

Create study blocks with measurable outcomes

Click + Study session or an empty area of the time rail. Enter the subject, the exact topic or output, the calendar date and the start/end time. Select a study method such as active recall, practice questions, worked problems or reading. Set an optional deadline, resource, priority and confidence score. A concrete outcome—“solve ten integration problems”—is easier to review than a vague “study math” block.

03↔MOVE & RESIZE

Rearrange a session without retyping it

Drag a block horizontally to change its start time or vertically onto another date row. The time adjustment snaps to 15-minute intervals while preserving the existing duration. Use the small handle on the block’s right edge to shorten or extend it. For precise changes, click the block and use the time inputs. Touch users can edit directly in the dialog when dragging is inconvenient. Invalid zero-length sessions are rejected.

04◈SPACED RETRIEVAL

Schedule review, not just first exposure

After entering a study block, select it and choose Schedule reviews. The tool offers follow-up sessions one, three and seven days after the selected block, using retrieval practice as the default method. These are editable planning suggestions, not an adaptive flashcard algorithm or a guarantee of retention. Use them to test what you remember, then change the spacing based on difficulty and feedback.

05▥DEADLINE ROADMAP

Connect revision to exams and due dates

Use + Exam / deadline to record an assessment, assignment hand-in or other important date. The sidebar displays the countdown and the subject it belongs to. Plan backward from that date: allow time for initial understanding, practice questions, error correction and a final lightweight review. Deadlines are planning markers and do not automatically submit coursework or communicate with a school system.

06✓PROGRESS & REVIEW

Measure what you finished, not what you planned

Mark a session Completed only after doing the work. The completion percentage counts completed records, not grades, accuracy or understanding. Subject bars show how planned time is distributed. Set confidence from one to five while editing a block to record your personal assessment. Review scheduling clashes and short breaks before exporting; the builder warns but does not silently rearrange your plan.

EVIDENCE-INFORMED STUDY HABITS

Four methods that deserve a place in the timetable

Planning methods differ from actual learning. These principles are useful starting points, while the right mix still depends on the subject, workload, individual constraints and feedback.

01

Retrieval practice

Close the notes, recall a concept from memory, explain a solution or take a short self-test. Record the specific questions you struggled with for later review.

02

Distributed practice

Revisit topics on several dates rather than placing all revision in one long final session. Adjust the spacing as you discover weak areas.

03

Interleaving

Mix related problems or alternate appropriate subjects to practice choosing between methods. Avoid changing topics so often that a meaningful task cannot be completed.

04

Rest and realistic buffers

Leave unscheduled space for meals, sleep, movement, questions and interruptions. A completely filled roadmap can be less practical than a smaller plan that you can maintain.

EXPORT, BACKUP & DATA HANDLING

Keep the plan portable without losing its details

Browser autosave stores your edits on the current device. Download a JSON backup before changing browsers or clearing site data. CSV can be opened in spreadsheet software, iCalendar (.ics) can be imported into supported calendars and Print/PDF uses your browser’s print dialog.

Signing into ScheduleFlowLab is optional. The cloud-save button requires an existing signed-in Supabase session and saves dated sessions using the account-owned schedules/events structure. Not every richer planning field is guaranteed to appear on the older My Schedules interface; JSON is the full-detail personal backup. Always confirm a successful cloud save before relying on it.

Before exporting your study schedule

01 Confirm date, time and time zone on every important session
02 Review overlapping planned study blocks and deadlines
03 Leave room for breaks, classes, work and other commitments
04 Download JSON for a full backup; use CSV/ICS for sharing
05 Reopen your exported file or saved cloud record to verify it

STUDY SCHEDULE MAKER FAQS

Questions before relying on your plan

This tool is for scheduling dated study work. It does not enroll you in classes, grade answers, predict exam scores or replace your institution's official calendar.

How is this different from a weekly study-planner template?

Study Schedule Maker records sessions on actual calendar dates, subject topics, methods, deadlines and completion states. A recurring study-planner template is better for a reusable routine without specific assessment dates.

Can I move a study block to another day?

Yes. Drag it into another visible date row or click to edit the date directly. Moving a session preserves its duration. Resize its right-edge handle to adjust the length.

What happens when two sessions overlap?

The planner detects intersections between planned session date-time intervals and reports them. Completed sessions remain in your history but are not treated as future double-bookings. It does not reschedule events without your action.

Does spaced review automatically know what I forgot?

No. The optional +1/+3/+7-day review suggestions do not measure mastery. Use the confidence field, actual recall results and your own feedback to revise the study plan.

Will I lose my work when choosing a new strategy?

Changing strategies replaces the local sessions and deadlines after confirmation. Download a JSON backup first if you want to preserve the old plan.

Can I change the study roadmap length?

Yes. Show 7, 14 or 21 dates and move the starting date backward or forward. Sessions outside the visible window remain stored.

Do I need an account to use the maker?

No. The tool operates with local browser storage. Cloud saving requires signing in through your site's existing global account system, and your cloud permissions must allow writing.

Can the planner guarantee better grades?

No. It schedules and tracks your intentions. Actual performance depends on comprehension, practice quality, feedback, wellbeing and many other factors.

Can it handle sessions across midnight?

Yes. Enter an end time earlier than the start time to represent a study session ending on the following date. The timeline displays its visible portion and full timestamps are retained for overlap checks and export.

Which export format keeps all the study details?

JSON is the most complete local backup, including metadata and goals. CSV and ICS contain session information tailored to spreadsheets and calendars and may not retain all interface-specific settings.
