Create a class schedule that works around every lecture, lab and seminar.
Start with a realistic, editable academic week. Organize courses by day and time, keep instructors and classrooms attached, move sessions visually, flag clashes, and export a timetable for the actual teaching term.
YOUR INTERACTIVE TIMETABLE
Build your actual class week
Tap empty space to add a meeting. Tap a class to edit its full pattern. Drag a block to move one weekday meeting; resize its lower edge to adjust its duration.

Available study and transition windows
COURSE RECORDS
Every lecture, lab and tutorial in your plan
BUILT FOR CLASS MEETING PATTERNS
Every course has more than a title. Your timetable should show the details.
Lecture and lab patterns
Group Monday/Wednesday/Friday lectures into one editable record, while placing separate labs, tutorials or discussion sections in their actual time slots.
Room and instructor context
Show buildings, classrooms, teachers, course codes and sections where students need them—directly on the schedule and in the detail editor.
Precise day/time adjustments
Move a single class meeting, edit an entire multi-day pattern, resize its duration or duplicate a session without rebuilding the whole semester.
Conflict-aware planning
Identify coinciding class meetings, overlapping bookings for a named room or instructor, and short transitions between different locations.
Term-calendar exports
Choose the first and last teaching dates, then export concrete weekly sessions to an ICS file for calendar import—not a live calendar sync.
Portable, editable plans
Keep browser autosave, download course records as CSV, restore full JSON backups, print your timetable or save your current plan to your account.
THE COMPLETE CLASS SCHEDULE GUIDE
How to build a practical school or college timetable
Class scheduling is about fixed academic meetings, not assigning general productivity tasks. A reliable course schedule records when each lecture, laboratory, tutorial and seminar meets, where it takes place, and whether you can realistically reach the next classroom on time.
Choose a relevant example before replacing it with your real classes
The Balanced College Week provides a realistic starting structure with several core subjects, a laboratory, discussion time and room-to-room gaps. The STEM, Humanities and School Periods examples demonstrate different types of academic timetables. These are editable illustrations, not recommended institutional schedules. Selecting a new strategy replaces the current timetable only after confirmation. If you already have real courses, download a JSON backup first.
Record course codes, sections and separate meeting types
Enter a recognizable name or module code such as CHEM 110, the section, instructor and room. A course with a Monday/Wednesday/Friday lecture can be one meeting record with three selected weekdays. If CHEM 110 also includes a Tuesday lab, add that as a second record with its own location, instructor and duration. This keeps the course linked by name without incorrectly forcing a lab into the lecture pattern.
Click an empty period, move a meeting or resize the block
Select an empty area in the relevant weekday to start a new class at the clicked time. Tap an existing block to edit its title, start and end time, section, meeting days, room and instructor. Drag a block to reposition that weekday meeting in fifteen-minute steps, or use the small handle at its bottom edge to change the session duration. When a shared multi-day record is changed through a single occurrence, that occurrence becomes a separate editable meeting; the other weekdays retain their original pattern.
Review overlapping lectures and resource conflicts before enrolment
The conflict checker examines the visible weekly meeting intervals. When two sessions overlap, the alert names the weekday, courses and overlapping minutes. If both sessions reference the same room or instructor, that shared resource is identified. The tool does not access a university registrar, booking database, course catalog or enrollment service, so it can only assess records entered into this timetable. A warning does not automatically cancel, reschedule or reserve anything.
Allow for walking, setup and transitions between different rooms
Two classes may not overlap yet still be impossible to attend in sequence if they occur in distant buildings. Set a five-, ten-, fifteen-, twenty- or thirty-minute transition warning threshold. The check compares the gap between consecutive meetings and highlights short gaps between different named rooms. It is a user preference, not a verified route estimate or campus-wide safety rule. Add travel as a separate commitment in your own calendar when precise travel time matters.
Export actual teaching dates instead of an undated weekly diagram
Before exporting a calendar file, enter the start and end of the teaching term. The ICS export generates each weekday occurrence between those dates, making it usable as an import into compatible calendar software. It is a one-time file export rather than a connected two-way sync. Check official academic holidays, reading weeks, instructor changes and exam-week arrangements separately; a standard weekly pattern does not know your institution's exceptions.
Keep a recoverable copy of your class timetable
Changes are autosaved to browser storage. Use JSON backup to preserve full editing fields such as section codes, instructor names and meeting-day groups. The CSV file supports spreadsheet review, while Print/PDF is useful for carrying a static weekly timetable. The optional cloud-save button uses your signed-in ScheduleFlowLab account to create records for the separate My Schedules workspace. Browsers, shared devices and offline sessions do not guarantee permanent storage without an exported copy.
What the Class Schedule Maker does not do
This tool does not register you for a section, calculate academic credit eligibility, check course prerequisites, confirm room availability outside your own entries, track attendance, or automatically balance an entire institution's staff and facilities. It provides a visual planning layer for the class meetings you supply. Verify final course details with your official school, college or university timetable before attending or sharing a schedule.
CLASS SCHEDULE MAKER FAQ
Answers before you rely on your timetable
These explanations describe the features and limitations of this specific tool.
Can I put a class on multiple weekdays?
Yes. Select multiple meeting days, such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday. One editable record appears as sessions on all selected days.
How do I add a lab that meets separately from its lecture?
Add another course meeting record using the same course name or code, choose Lab, and enter its separate day, room and time.
What happens if I drag only the Wednesday lecture?
That Wednesday occurrence is separated from the original multi-day record before it moves. The Monday and Friday occurrences remain unchanged. You can edit the whole pattern by opening its source record instead.
Can I make a class longer or shorter?
Yes. Drag the resize handle on a timetable block in fifteen-minute increments or edit the start and end times exactly in the class editor.
Will the planner prevent conflicting lectures?
It warns about overlapping meetings in your timetable but does not forbid saving them. That allows you to compare options and then make an informed choice.
Can it tell me whether a classroom is free?
Only within the class meetings entered here. The planner does not access an institution's live room reservation system.
Does the timetable cover weekends and evening courses?
Yes. It includes all seven weekdays and an optional full 24-hour view for late classes. You can scroll horizontally on smaller screens.
Is semester calendar export a live Google Calendar integration?
No. Downloading an .ics file gives you a one-time importable snapshot. Later changes in this planner do not automatically update previously imported events.
Does browser autosave work without an account?
Yes, where browser storage is available. A JSON download is recommended for important work, especially before switching devices or clearing site data.
Is this the same as a Study Planner or Class Timetable template library?
No. This page builds the actual recurring meeting schedule for specific courses. A Study Planner allocates personal independent-study sessions, while a Class Timetable template library offers reusable layouts and starting points.
